A very interesting book, and somewhat different from the other John Buchan books I have recently read. This is actually a series of stories, loosely connected, starting in Scotland before the Normans arrived and involving the people who where in conflict with their Scandinavian cousins/5.

I picked up Undeniably Yours because it was the next in a series, so I didn’t realize it was an “oops, I’m pregnant after a one-night stand” type of book. Hamlet-like legends are so widely found (for example in Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Byzantium, and Arabia) that the core "hero-as-fool" theme is possibly Indo-European in origin.

Security cameras were installed all around their house, and one day – or rather some days – one of the cameras caught one of the maids riffing through things in the house and trying on lingerie that did not belong to her 😀 But you have to admit: I think some of the girls choose to become maids to live a better life than their home.
